Parents of government school children are withdrawing their wards to attend CUCET classes. Many of them are worried about CUCET crash courses, and not getting admission into a good central university. Parents who have already chosen to go through the government school system are worried that their children won't be able to score high enough in the exam. The National Progressive School Conference (NPSC) is an organization of 122 Delhi schools, and Sudha Acharya, chairperson of the group, expressed her concerns.
CUCET is a crucial exam in determining whether a student is ready for higher studies. As such, the coaching industry is growing fast. Since board marks are no longer a determining factor for admission to the best colleges, the coaching industry will grow as well. It is estimated that in a few years, CUCET preparation will be the next big moneymaker, alongside UPSC and CAT.
