Our story goes something like this. My father completed his aprenticeship with Ford Motor Co in the UK around the time that Anglia's and Lotus Cortina's were new. After moving to South Australia my parents ran a number of service stations, my father, Terry Clements, campaigned a genuine Lotus Twin Cam Escort for three years as a Sports Sedan during this time. At one stage my mum, Jan Clements, was the quickest woman around the old Adelaide International Raceway, in my fathers twink.
By the time I was on the scene my parents had moved away from servce stations with repair shops attached to stand alone vehicle repair businesses. I would spend hours in those workshops with my family, it was only a mater of time before the bug bit.
My parents had some fantasic cars, early GT Falcons, GT Capris, Twin Cam Escorts, Cortinas, Mustangs, TX3 Turbo 4WD Lasers, XR6 Turbo's, FPV F6's and that's skimming the surface. We have had other breeds of cars, but as you probably guessed ours is essentially a Ford family.
I am a full time automotive teacher and performance driving coach by trade, I have worked within the automotive industry over a number of years. When my parents retired and stepped away from working full time a number of their customers started calling me. As a result I chose to setup a small home business. This allows me to pick a choose my jobs while contiuing to provide quality automotive repair and driver training.
