Chad M. White, MA

Chad M. White is a PhD student in History at the University of Louisville, specializing in medieval Europe, particularly Anglo-Saxon and Viking England. His research examines the political and cultural transformation of Britain from Late Antiquity into the early medieval world, as well as the modern reception of the medieval past—including its appropriation by extremist movements. His work also engages questions of masculinity and nostalgia in the construction and deployment of medieval history in contemporary culture. He serves as the Department Coordinator for the University of Louisville’s Department of History.
