Class Buffer works entirely on your phone. It has no account, no server, no ads and no tracking, and it collects no personal data. Your timetable and attendance never leave your device.

This policy explains what Class Buffer does with information when you use the app.
None. Class Buffer has no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising libraries and no crash-reporting SDK. No information is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
The app saves the following in its own private storage on your phone so it can calculate your attendance:
Semester details: start and end dates, minimum attendance percentage, exam and holiday periods, semester number
Your timetable: subject names, days or day orders, class times
Attendance marks: attended, skipped and cancelled classes
Reminder settings: whether reminders are on, how early they arrive, daily summary time
Other apps cannot read this data. It is deleted when you uninstall Class Buffer or clear the app's data from Android settings. If you have Android's own backup enabled, Android may include this data in the backup tied to your personal Google account; the developer has no access to it.
When you choose a timetable photo, the text is read on your device using Google's ML Kit on-device text recognition. The photo is not uploaded, not copied into the app's storage and not kept after the timetable is read. You always confirm or edit the result before it is saved.
Notifications — to show class reminders and the optional daily summary.
Alarms & reminders — so a reminder arrives at the minute you chose rather than late.
Run at startup — to restore your scheduled reminders after the phone restarts.
Photos — only the single image you pick through Android's own photo picker. The app has no access to your gallery.
Class Buffer requests no location, contacts, microphone, camera or storage permissions.
Class Buffer is made for college and university students aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Open Android Settings, go to Apps, select Class Buffer and choose Clear storage, or uninstall the app. Either removes everything the app has saved. Because no data reaches a server, there is nothing else to request or delete.
If the app ever changes what it stores or starts using a service that transmits data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date at the top will change.
