2023 RoboWolves

Ava

My name is Ava. I attend Clarkston Junior High School and I'm in the eighth grade. This is my third year doing FTC. I'm interested in the programming part of robotics. My favorite colors are green and light blue. I play piano and tennis. A fun fact about me is that I am very interested in astrophysics and aerospace technology.

Mason

I participated in FTC Robotics last year for Clarkston. Last year was my first year and I had a good experience doing it. What has drawn my attention this year is programming and coding.  I love to ski in my free time.

Dominic S.

Hi, my name is Dominic. I like to tear things apart and see how they are built. Fishing is one of my favorite things to do. I ride dirt bikes also and live in the country.

Harper

My name is Harper and I'm an eighth-grade student at Sashabaw Middle School. In the past, I have done Junior FLL and FLL, and this is also my third year on the FTC team RoboWolves. In the last two years on RoboWolves, I did a lot with the build team and was one of our two main drivers. Some fun facts about me are that I'm a 1st don black belt of tang soo doo and reading is one of my favorite pastimes.

Jacob

Hi my name is Jacob and I'm very excited to be on the RoboWolves again. I have had two years of experience on an FTC team as the driver. I have also had two years of Jr. FLL. FIRST Robotics is a big part of my family. I have two brothers that went through FRC on Team RUSH 27. I watched my one brother win Worlds in 2018 as the lead strategist and this past year my other brother as the driver won five banners in a row, including States. I even got to meet Woodie Flowers and took pictures with him twice.

Ryan

My fun fact is that I am homeschooled and a part-time student in the 8th grade at CJHS. I don't have any prior FIRST experience, but I am really looking forward to being on the Build SubTeam because I like hands-on work.

Will

I am currently a 7th grader at SMS. Prior to participating in FTC last year, I completed 2 years in junior FLL and 2 years in FLL. My interests are to learn more coding and be a part of the drive team to control the arm. I love to build and program things and have an interest in a future engineering career.

Kayleigh

My name is Kayleigh and this is my third year doing robotics. Milo is my twin so I joined the same team to make it easier. I mostly work on things like the portfolio. My dad works with electronics and my mom is always pushing me to do new things so that is why I am in robotics.

Milo

My name is Milo and I am 13 years old and I go to Clarkston Junior High School. I am skilled in technology and love working with it. My favorite hobby is soccer. I hope that we can have another successful season this year.

Zachary

Hi! I'm Zachary, and this is my third year with RoboWolves. I am excited for this year's game and seeing how last year went, I have high expectations for this year. I love to program and as such, I am on the programming sub-team.

Coach Kelly

Assisting the FTC RoboWolves team is my second coaching experience with FIRST, having coached my son Zachary's FLL team for the 2019 season. I'm excited to be back with a dynamic and talented team! Although I'm more familiar working with the well-known biological 'machine' - the brain - in my profession as a neuroscientist, I'm enjoying this time learning and facilitating the design, building and programming process alongside the students.

Coach Patrick

I am a Mechanical Engineer and I have been solving problems in the automotive industry using engineering processes for over 22 years.  My favorite part of the process is working with a diverse group of people to come up with a great solution.  My son, Harper, is the middle of my three kids and we are both really excited to be back with the RoboWolves!

Coach Sara

I have prior FIRST experience coaching an FLL team, two years supporting Clarkston RoboWolves as well as being a mentor on the team for the last seven years. All three of my children have been involved in FIRST Robotics, with my middle child currently helping as a student mentor on RoboWolves.  My daughter, Audrey is attending Purdue University, and both of my sons, Charlie and Sam are members of Team RUSH 27.

Coach Terry

I am an aerodynamicist and mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience designing and engineering race cars, military vehicles, and drivetrain components. I have three children, all with FIRST Robotics experience, including my son, Charlie, who is helping to teach CAD to RoboWolves students. Charlie and my other son, Sam are current Team RUSH #27 team members and RoboWolves alumni. My daughter Audrey is a Trustee Scholar at Purdue University studying Mechanical Engineering. This is my seventh year mentoring RoboWolves.

Coach Rob

This is my third year coaching the RoboWolves, and I'm grateful for the great learning opportunity I've had in FTC! I have been a mechanical engineer for 23 years, but small robots were completely new to me. During college, I was a part of Formula SAE, so I'm very familiar with using teamwork to solve new, complex problems. I'm looking forward to continue to learn new things, and mentor each team member to help them grow as much as possible this year!

Coach Randy

I studied electrical engineering at the University of Wisconsin and I've been an engineer with Stellantis for twenty years. I like building and fixing things, outdoor activities, and sports. I enjoy coaching and working with kids as well as seeing them learn and grow. This is my tenth year coaching Clarkston RoboWolves.
