This hood was custom made and finished to match the adjacent kitchen cabinetry. It is made out of moisture-resistant, medium density fiberboard (MRMDF) and hardwood, designed to stand up to the rigors of heavy kitchen use.  The finish is a water-base, 2 component system with hardener (also known as 2k poly). 

This bookcase was finished offsite and installed prefinished. The back of each case is grooved to resemble "nickel gap" style paneling. The height of the base area the sections matches the flat portion of the surrounding baseboard so that the cabinets appear integrated into the trim. The crown molding matches the style of the house. Shelves are adjustable on 32mm (1 1/4") centers.
