Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Clarity (“the app”) helps you focus by pausing distracting apps on your device. Your privacy is central to how the app works.
Summary
Clarity does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app stores stays on your device.
What the app accesses
Screen Time / Family Controls. With your permission, Clarity uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings) to let you choose apps and pause them on schedules, during focus sessions, or when a daily limit is reached. The identifiers for the apps you select are handled entirely on-device by Apple’s framework and are never seen or stored by us in a readable form. Clarity never receives a list of your installed apps.
On-device storage. Your schedules, limits, app groups, focus sessions, preferences, and usage counters (such as how many times a block occurred) are stored locally on your device.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Clarity uses Apple’s StoreKit to confirm your subscription status. We do not receive your payment information.
What we do NOT do
We do not collect analytics or usage tracking.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not have our own servers and do not upload your data anywhere.
We do not sell or share any data.
Data retention and deletion
Because all data is stored locally, deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. You can also reset stored statistics from within the app’s Settings.
Children
Clarity does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
