Clare Kaneko

I have been working in English education in Japan for over 20 years. My teaching history includes teaching children from age 2 to adults aged 75. I have worked in both public and private schools, mostly in Niigata, Japan.

I am currently working at Niigata University as an associate professor. My courses include academic reading, academic writing, discussion, oral communication, digital literacy, and more. I include content and language integrated learning into some of my classes focusing on the sustainable development goals, and intercultural communication.

I have been the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) since January 2023.
