Farewell in Florence, my first album

Farewell in Florence is an emotional journey through the most intimate folds of the soul, told with the delicacy of autumnal rain and the melancholy of a whispered goodbye in the streets of Florence. Written by Fabio Bencivenni and interpreted with extraordinary depth by Clara Whitmore, this work moves through memories, silences, and soft lights - like those of a late-night club where every note is a heartbeat and every word a wound that never quite heals.

The atmosphere is deeply intimate. Bencivenni’s lyrics are poems in the form of songs - fragments of lived experience, of ended loves, of families drifting apart, of silent fathers, and of jazz that becomes a metaphor for existence itself. The album is a mature, delicate, and courageous work. It does not fear silence, nor does it seek consolation; it prefers the naked truth of authentic emotions. It is a record to be listened to slowly, with the heart rather than the ears - a small masterpiece that reminds us how, at times, music knows how to say goodbye better than any word ever could.

This album does not seek applause, but a listening ear. It does not aim to entertain, but to move. It is an invitation to pause, to look back without regret, and to recognize in music the place where words are not enough - and yet, thanks to Fabio and Clara, they are more than enough.
