Last Updated:January 13, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to ClapFinder Launcher ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information.
By installing and using this App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Permissions and Data Usage
(Prominent Disclosure) To provide the core features of the App and support our free services through advertising, we require specific permissions. We value transparency and provide the following disclosures regarding their use:
A. Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE) - For Clap Detection
Purpose: This permission is strictly required to enable the "Clap to Find" feature. The App listens for a specific sound pattern (clapping) to trigger the alarm. We use a Foreground Service to ensure the detection works even when you are not actively looking at the screen.
Data Safety: Audio is processed locally on your device in real-time. We do NOT record, save, store, upload, or transmit any audio data to our servers or any third party. The audio stream is discarded immediately after analysis.
B. Installed Applications (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) - For Launcher Functionality
Purpose: ClapFinder Launcher is a home screen replacement application. To function as a launcher, we must access the list of all installed applications on your device to:
(1).Display your installed apps in the App Drawer and Home Screen.
(2).Allow you to launch, organize, and manage your apps.
Data Safety: We verify that this data is used solely for rendering the user interface on your device. We do not upload your app list to external servers for the purpose of selling or analyzing your interests.
C. Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) - For Advertising
Purpose: We may request access to your approximate or precise location. This data is used solely by our advertising partners to provide you with more relevant, location-based advertisements (e.g., local services or offers).
Data Safety: You can choose to deny this permission. If denied, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.
D. Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID)
Purpose: We collect your device's Advertising ID (GAID) to display personalized advertisements, perform ad attribution (tracking install sources), and analyze ad performance.
E. Notification Access & Camera (Flashlight)
Purpose: Used to ensure the "Find Phone" alarm can ring and flash the LED light effectively even when the App is running in the background or "Do Not Disturb" is active.

We collect information to provide better services and improve our App performance.
Device Information: Technical info such as device model, OS version, language, time zone, and IP address.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing (CCPA Disclosures)
To facilitate the operation of our App and to support our business through advertising, we may share or make available certain personal information to trusted third-party partners. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA, this section discloses the categories of third parties with whom we share data.
A. Advertising Networks and Monetization Partners
Categories of Third Parties: Ad networks, ad exchanges, and programmatic advertising providers.
Data Shared: Unique identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID/GAID), IP address, device technical specifications, and approximate location data.

Data Shared: Aggregated usage data and device identifiers.
Purpose: To optimize our marketing campaigns and reach potential users who may be interested in our App.
D. Links to Privacy Policies Our partners include major global technology providers. We encourage you to review your device settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android) to control how your data is used for advertising purposes.
5. Data Security and Retention
