I co-lead Academia 101, a postgraduate professional development programme at ULMS open to doctoral researchers across the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership. We run regular sessions on the practical and professional side of academic life, from navigating peer review, presenting your work to career planning and working with data. The programme aims to bridge skills gaps identified directly by doctoral researchers through interactive focus sessions.
We design session topics through direct consultation with PGRs, coordinate faculty and guest speakers, organise hybrid events, and represent the programme at doctoral committees.
