I have been in love with jewelry all my life. My grandmother, "Nannie," had an overflowing Avon jewelry collection which I borrowed constantly and wore to school.
In high school, I interned with a local designer and the jewelry bug officially bit me. I have been making jewelry ever since, in my scrappy way. I have never taken formal courses - I learned everything through craft classes and 12+ years of trial and error.
All of my knowledge of vintage and antique pieces comes from voracious reading, online research, and handling every piece I can find. My sturdy and elegant pieces are inspired by the everyday wearable pieces of yesteryear.
I work with gemstones as a meditative practice - with intention and reverence for what is already there. It is an honor to work so closely with nature's magnificence. I source stones directly, often in person, choosing pieces for their character rather than perfection. I am particularly drawn to stones with movement, texture, and irregularity.
My making methods of choice include inlay and lost wax casting techniques. Whether it is made from scratch or a reimagined heirloom, I aim to balance structure and durability with softness and delicacy.
Jewelry can be both wearable and help you commune with your own power - something you reach for because it looks good and it feels just right.
Every piece is made to be lived in and carried forward, holding all the more meaning over time.
