I'm currently a Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Irvine studying the microbiome's contribution to overwintering success in bumble bees.

Millions of microbes live in and on our bodies and influence so many aspects of our biology. I'm interested in how these microbes affect their host's functioning, and how these relationships change when the environment changes. When I'm not catching lizards, pipetting in the lab, or analyzing my data, you can find me enjoying nature with my golden retriever, Orla, practicing aerial arts, or exploring a new creative outlet.
