Hello! My name is Cayleigh. My business name comes from my first and middle name, Kristine. I am a young adult and somewhat new to the professional photography world. I am currently attending University of Idaho pursuing an elementary education degree. I hope to teach but also own a wedding venue, using it as an outlet for my decoration ideas, planning events, and photography of course!
I have always had a creative mindset, trying all the hobbies, painting, pastels, pottery, but photography has always been my favorite. Starting with a small digital camera, I took pictures of vacations, the plants I found, the sky, and everything between. With my phone I take lots of nature photos, selfies of course, and definitely too many sunset photos. When I turned 15 my mom gifted me her Nikon digital camera. I have learned most of the photography basics from my mom. I also took photography and yearbook in high school and used it to expand my skills.
I had taken friends' senior photos and taken portraits of my family, but my first paid job was in July of 2022. One of my co-workers had her wedding coming up and her photographer had just bailed two weeks before the wedding. She was freaking out and I offered to take some pictures, and she said yes. I wasn't very confident in my abilities so I was really nervous to do this for her, but at the same time super exited. It turned out great and I loved being there for each step of the day.
After realizing that I could make this a real thing, and maybe make a career or at least side job out of it, I got to planning, designing, and creating. With school it took me a while to get everything set-up, but I was up and running!
My favorite part of photography is being able to capture emotion. If its a wedding, a laughing baby, or even the sky, emotion is all around us, all you have to do is find it. I am an avid believer that no matter the budget, photos are a must. This can be hard to achieve when photography can be so expensive, or low-quality. I want to find the perfect middle ground, keeping things reasonably affordable, while still maintaining quality and professionalism.
I will always be the photographer who is crouching in the weird spots fro the perfect angle, or running across the street to get to the perfect spot. If you are worried about feeling akward don't fret, I will be planty of weird for the both of us. I never want my clients to feel akward so I fight to make every session as fun and easy as possible!
Thank you for reading my story, I hope you will consider me to capture your next perfect memory. I can't wait to meet you!
