Clayton James (C.J.) Henriksen- is an actor and musician from Kansas City. At a young age he gained praise quickly for being a strong dramatic singer and actor. Clayton’s career began attending college at Lubbock Christian University on vocal and acting scholarships. Clayton focused on improving his acting skills in his course work, gaining a keen understanding of comedic acting. This skill was most displayed in his praised performances as Uncle Fester (The Addams Family) and Clown #2 (The 39 Steps). For his collegiate acting work he won an award for outstanding performer at the Christian University Theatre Festival in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Following his graduation he worked as a teacher and playwright briefly. In a short educational career Clayton managed to direct nearly ten productions including, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, ‘Tracks’ and ‘Ordinary People’. In that same time Clayton managed to focus as well on writing four new plays, including a full length play titled ‘With Attention to Theatre’. Now once again a full time actor focusing on musical theatre, Clayton has gained a reputation for being a diverse performer, having played roles ranging from the comedic and eccentric P.T. Barnum (Barnum) and Prince Dauntless (Once Upon a Mattress) to the suave and arrogant Rapunzel’s Prince (Into the Woods) and Warner Huntington III (Legally Blonde). Clayton is known for bringing strong vocal prowess and diligence along with his broad dramatic skills to all productions he supports. Clayton’s talents will continue to be seen across the country for many years to come.
