CIVILMATE — PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

YogsDigital built the CivilMate application as a field companion and

exam-prep tool for civil engineers and civil engineering students. This

Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your

rights as a user.

By using CivilMate, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. ABOUT THE APP

CivilMate is a field engineering companion app for civil engineers

working on highways, structures, tunnels, geotechnical and water/

sanitation projects in India, and for students preparing for GATE/SSC

JE/RRB JE exams. It provides:

-  30+ engineering calculators across multiple disciplines

-  IS/IRC/RDSO code reference search

-  A Quantity Estimator with cost breakdown and WhatsApp share

-  A GPS-Stamped Site Photo Logger

-  A Bar Bending Schedule calculator

-  A Daily Log Diary for site records

-  Field Reference tools: Unit Converter, Formula Cards, Code of the Day

-  A daily Quiz with streak tracking

CivilMate does not require an account, login, or registration. Most

features work fully offline.

3. DATA WE COLLECT

a) Location (GPS)

When you use the Site Photo Logger, CivilMate accesses your device's

location (with your permission) to stamp your photo with GPS

coordinates, a human-readable address, and a timestamp. To generate

the address text, your coordinates are sent to Google's geocoding

service when your device is online. This happens only at the moment

you capture a photo; we do not track your location in the background,

and we do not store your location on any server of our own.

Location access is optional. If you deny the permission, or if you are

offline, the app still works — the photo stamp will show coordinates

only, or "Location unavailable," instead of an address.

b) Camera and Photos

CivilMate uses your device camera to let you capture site photos. These

photos, once stamped, are saved to your device only — either within the

app's own storage, or to your device's photo gallery, depending on how

you choose to save them. CivilMate does not upload, transmit, or share

your photos with us or any third party.

c) Analytics and Crash Data

CivilMate uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (both

provided by Google) to understand app usage and diagnose crashes. This

may include:

-  Basic usage analytics (feature usage, session duration)

-  Crash reports and error logs

-  Device information (OS version, device model)

-  A device/installation identifier

This data is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal

identifier, since CivilMate has no account system. Firebase operates

under Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

CivilMate does not collect or require:

-  Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers

-  Any account, login, or registration information

-  Financial or payment information

-  Your photos or location data on any server we operate (see Section 3)

5. DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE

The following is stored only on your device, using local storage (Hive):

-  Saved calculation history

-  Site photos and their GPS-stamped metadata

-  Daily Log Diary entries

-  Quiz streak and progress

-  App preferences

This data is never transmitted to us. It is fully under your control —

you can clear it at any time through Android Settings, or by

uninstalling the App, which removes it permanently.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

CivilMate uses:

-  Firebase Analytics — usage analytics (see Section 3c)

-  Firebase Crashlytics — crash and error reporting (see Section 3c)

-  Google's Geocoding service — to convert GPS coordinates into a

   readable address for the photo stamp (see Section 3a)

CivilMate does NOT use:

-  Advertising networks (AdMob, AdSense, or similar)

-  Social media SDKs

-  In-app purchases or payment processors

-  Any analytics service other than Firebase Analytics

Sharing a calculation or log via WhatsApp uses Android's built-in share

function — CivilMate does not access your WhatsApp account or contacts,

and the shared content goes directly from your device to the app you

choose.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

CivilMate is intended for civil engineering professionals and students

and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not

knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has

used this App in a way that concerns you, contact us at

yogsdigital@gmail.com.

8. DATA SECURITY

Data saved locally on your device — including site photos and logs — is

protected by your device's own security, such as screen lock and

Android's application sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device

operating system updated.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Since CivilMate has no account system, there is no personal profile held

by us to access, correct, or delete. You retain full control over data

stored on your device:

-  Clear App data: Settings > Apps > CivilMate > Clear Data

-  Uninstall the App: removes all locally stored data permanently

10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, reflected in the

Effective Date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted

constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the

Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data

Protection Act 2023. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction

of the courts in India.
