YogsDigital built the CivilMate application as a professional tool for civil engineers. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
By using CivilMate, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
CivilMate is a field engineering companion app designed for civil engineers working on highways, structures, tunnels, and geotechnical projects in India. It provides:
• 24 professional engineering calculators across 4 disciplines
• 40+ IS/IRC/RDSO code reference index with search
• Field Reference tools: Unit Converter, Formula Cards, Code of the Day
• Daily quiz featuring 5 questions from different fields of Civil Engineering
• Save and Share functionality for news articles
CivilMate is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Your location or GPS data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Calculation inputs or results
• Usage analytics or behaviour tracking
• Crash reports or diagnostic data
• Any financial or professional information
No data from your use of the App is ever transmitted to our servers, because we do not operate any servers for this App.
Certain information is stored locally on your device only, using Android SharedPreferences storage. This data never leaves your device and includes:
• Recently accessed calculator preferences
This data is stored solely to provide app functionality across sessions. It is not accessible to us or any third party. You can clear this data at any time through Android Settings or by uninstalling the App.
CivilMate do not requests internet permission. Specifically:
• All engineering calculators, code references, and field reference tools work completely offline
CivilMate uses Firebase (by Google) for the following purposes:
- Firebase Analytics: To understand app usage patterns and user engagement
- Firebase Crashlytics: To automatically collect crash reports and error logs
Data collected by Firebase:
- App crash reports and error logs
- Basic usage analytics (feature usage, session duration)
- Device information (OS version, device model)
- Advertising ID (for analytics only, not for advertising)
Firebase operates under Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
CivilMate does NOT use the following:
- Google Analytics (separate from Firebase Analytics)
- Facebook SDK or social media SDKs
- AdMob, AdSense, or advertising networks
- In-app purchases or payment processors
Open-source packages (provider, shared_preferences, http, url_launcher, google_fonts, shimmer, intl, share_plus) operate entirely on-device and do not transmit user data to external servers except where explicitly noted above (Firebase).
CivilMate is intended for use by professional civil engineers and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this App, please contact us at yogsdigital@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.
Since CivilMate does not collect or transmit any personal data, the risk to your privacy is minimal. Data saved locally on your device is protected by your device security, including screen lock and Android application sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device operating system updated to benefit from the latest security protections.
Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. However, you retain full control over locally stored data:
• Clear App data: Settings > Apps > CivilMate > Clear Data
• Uninstall the App: removes all locally stored data permanently

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the updated Effective Date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
