Daisy Playtime is a porcelin doll that was launched as part of the Playtime doll in 1990 on the anniversary of the launch of Poppy Playtime. While the Playtime dolls were initially proposed shortly after the initial success of Poppy, Elliot Ludwig rejected the idea. Given how Poppy was modeled after his own daughter, Ludwig didn't like the idea of Poppy being part of a toy line. Shortly after his death, however, the Playtime doll line was immediately approved.
Rosaline was the youngest of a group of sisters, being only a baby when they were placed in Playcare after being removed from her father's custody when authorities found out that her father was abusing her older sisters. With no other family member to claim them, Rosaline and her sisters were placed in Playtime's on-site orphanage where she grew up.
After the Bigger Bodies Initiative was approved by Playtime's execs, Rosaline and the other orphaned children were used to the experiments. While Rosaline was initially going to be adopted alongside Marsha, Marsha was suddenly unavailable despite being in the process of adoption. No longer trusting Playcare, the couple who were planning on adopting them pulled out. Rosaline was the last to be taken for experimentation. Her procedure was done in 1994
Daisy Playtime was Experiment 1360 and the last of the Playtime doll line to be turned into a Bigger Body. Following Dr. Harley Sawyer being turned into an experiment himself, Dr. Bruno White was promoted to Sawyer's position. In an attempt to better understand what made Poppy tick, Dr. White decided to turn the other Playtime doll to see if they could recreate what happened to Poppy. Daisy Playtime was the only one of the Playtime dolls that survived the process.
Following her transition, Daisy was subjected to constant experiments and surgeries up until the Hour of Joy where the scientists who were experimenting on her was killed.
Following the Hour of Joy, Daisy was stuck down in the Labs where she was protected by Aurora, a pony toy experiment that used her older sister Marsha, who was one of the Prototype. Due to his obsession with Poppy, Daisy's entire existence was intriguing and infuriating to the Prototype but Aurora made a deal with him in order to get him to leave Daisy alone.
But when Aurora began to waver with her loyalty to the Prototype, the Prototype decided to go back on their deal. Aurora attack the Prototype in a desperate attempt to protect Daisy, losing her eye in the process. Aurora and Daisy escaped back up to the Shelf were they ended up joining up with Safe Haven.
