Background

Carmen Morningstar is the daughter of Charlie Morningstar and Vaggie, having been born a few minutes before her twin brother, Simon, son of Marceline Abadeer. Carmen grew up in the hotel with her brother. From an early age, Carmen was surrounded by others; aside from her mothers, she was also around her grandfather Lucifer, the hotel staff, sinners who took up residence at the hotel, as well as her brother's family, despite the lack of relation to them.

As a child, Carmen and her brother grew up surrounded by the miserable state of hell, and because of this, Carmen wanted to help make hell a better place. As soon as she was able to, Carmen and Simon would end up overseeing the operation of the hotel with Carmen being the new face of the hotel with her brother helping her behind the scenes.
