A self-guided walking tour is a structured city route that allows you to explore at your own pace — without joining a group or following a fixed schedule.
Unlike traditional guided tours, where you move with a large group and follow a set timetable, a self-guided tour gives you full control. You decide when to start, how long to stay at each stop, and where to pause for coffee, photos, or simply to enjoy the atmosphere.
At the same time, it’s far more than a simple list of attractions.
A well-designed self-guided walking tour provides:
• A clear, logical walking route
• Carefully selected stops
• Historical context and storytelling
• Short explanations you can read or listen to on your phone
• A complete day plan without the need for extra research
It combines the freedom of independent travel with the structure and insight of a professional guide.
For cities like Prague, Barcelona, and Athens — where history, architecture, and neighborhoods are layered together — a self-guided walking tour helps you experience the city as a connected story rather than scattered highlights.
CityWalk is designed exactly for that purpose: real exploration, clear flow, and meaningful context — all directly on your phone.
Hi, I’m Almog.
I’ve been guiding walking tours for over 20 years, working with both groups and independent travelers in cities across Europe and beyond.
I hold an MA in Geography, with specializations in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and the history of the Middle East. This background shapes how each CityWalk is designed — with clear spatial logic, historical context, and a strong sense of how places connect into a meaningful story.
CityWalks were created for travelers who prefer to explore at their own pace — solo, as a couple, or without joining a group or paying the high cost of a private guide.
For roughly the price of two cups of coffee, each CityWalk includes:
A thoughtfully structured walking route
Clear, easy-to-follow maps
Short explanations you can read or listen to along the way
Every walk is personally designed by me. In cities I know well, routes are based on years of hands-on guiding experience. In others, I collaborate closely with local guides to ensure accuracy and quality.
New CityWalks are added over time as the collection continues to grow.
These walks are ideal for:
Solo travelers and couples
Independent travelers who prefer calm exploration
Visitors who want meaning, not checklists
Anyone who wants a full day without joining a group
A CityWalk is a self-guided walking route accessed on your phone.
You follow a mapped path with stops along the way, each including a short explanation you can read or listen to as you walk.
Headphones are recommended but not required.
You can read all explanations directly on your phone — audio is optional.
No. This is a self-guided experience.
There are no schedules, no groups, and no guide to follow — you walk at your own pace.
No app is required.
The CityWalk opens directly in your browser and works on any modern smartphone.
Each CityWalk is designed to be flexible.
Most routes take a few hours to complete, but there’s no need to do everything at once.
Once you receive access, the CityWalk remains available for an extended period of time.
You can start on one day and continue on another, explore part of the route and return later, or even listen to the explanations at home before your trip — and again while walking the city.
There’s no rush and no fixed schedule — you use it when it fits your travel pace.
Yes.
CityWalks are designed to be clear, structured, and easy to follow — even if it’s your first time in the city.
