FINISH LINE

PROJECT: FINISH LINE MANUAL

Finish lines are key to making every athlete feel the importance of their accomplishment. A poorly set up and managed finish line results in athletes feeling unrecognized and the event not being memorable. We want every athlete to feel special when they cross the finish line. In order to do this we must have clear guidance on how to set up, manage, and break down the finish line.

Setting up requires that the flags, arches, cones, music tent, equipment (finisher's medals & winner's banner) and funnel are properly set up to look like a first class finish line in all weather conditions (high wind, rain, and normal).

Management requires that volunteers are able to hand out finisher's medals to every athlete as they cross the finish line, hold the winner's banner for the top male and female overall winners, photographs and video are taken for each athlete, and the appropriate music is played and announcements made during the event. Additionally, it requires giving athletes instructions after they complete the event on where to get their food and beverage, awards ceremony, etc.

The breakdown requires that volunteers properly breakdown and pack all the equipment so that it can easily be reused in the next event.

The value of this product is that it will provide Citytri with a standard guide for the set up, management, and break down of a finish line that assures the recognition of the athlete's effort. You will learn how to develop a guide, test it, and finalize it in the events, making a positive contribution to the building of a scalable business.
