Volunteering should be a rewarding experience for all and CitySA is committed to ensuring that our students have access to quality experiences, with adequate support and training, and are protected against the engagement of volunteers to replace or undermine paid roles.

Provide a detailed description of your role and what is expected of you, including time commitments.
Support you to claim expenses incurred during your volunteer role - please keep all receipts in order to do this.
Provide a named contact in the SA for support in your role.

While volunteering with CitySA you should:
Represent the SA and the College in a professional manner at all times.
Adhere to the rules, regulations and policies set out by CitySA, both on and off campus.
Reply to email and telephone correspondence in a timely way.
Follow SA policy for reporting illness or absence, and inform your point of contact at the SA if you wish to end your role.
Attend all agreed support and training sessions necessary for the role.
Volunteering is a great way to meet people that you might not otherwise have crossed paths with, and to learn about the lived experiences of other individuals.
It is important to have an understanding of personal, cultural and religious differences that you might encounter during your time volunteering, and know how to react to these respectfully.
