How might we design a virtual museum that explores the ideas of hope and tolerance?

In the Museum of Hope Project, students researched and identified various works of art and created a virtual museum experience to promote hope & tolerance.

How might we create a business or organization that enriches our community?

In the Neighborhood Needs Project, students conducted a spatial analysis to identify a need for a particular business or service within a Dallas neighborhood.

How might we develop a personal plan and path for beyond graduation?

In the College & Future Careers Project, students identified career interests and began researching where they would like their lives to lead upon graduation. This project helped students explore various careers and to research post secondary education opportunities that will help them achieve employment in their chosen career.

How can a person’s outlook/perspective be shaped by an unexpected journey?

In the Unexpected Journeys & The Power of Stories Project, students analyzed traditional story line plots to create a story that describes their own formative physical or emotional journey.

How has the current pandemic impacted our day-to-day lives, and what might "normal" life look like after COVID 19?

In the Out of the Box Project, students studied and analyzed the justification for social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic through data analysis. Students also reflected on their current experiences through the creation of a personal record that could be used to inform what “normal” life might look like after the pandemic.

Quarantine space

How might we design a space that will address the needs of the unhoused under social distancing?

In the Quarantine Space Project, students explored the spread of the virus among the unhoused be that locally among the homeless in Dallas, another part of the US, or internationally among refugee populations. Then, they created a space that can safely shelter people and address their needs under social distancing guidelines.

How might we create an invention to increase independence while grocery shopping?

Project Invent empowers students with the 21st century skills to succeed individually and impact globally. The goal is to create a generation of fearless problem solvers. In Project Invent, high school students invent technologies that solve real-world problems. Project Invent guides students through the process of empathizing with users, brainstorming creative ideas, building meaningful solutions, and pitching for funding.
