Small hand piles (3 x 5 in size) can consist of yard debris, brush, bagged leaves (10 bags or less), and non-hazardous items that may be too large for garbage bags and receptacles, but less than 70 pounds. (These piles are picked up by Waste Management on garbage service days)

The City of Jackson provides this service at no extra charge. The claw trucks operate on a route, averaging one (1) pick-up per month. There are six (6) districts and eight (8) City trucks to service the City of Jackson residents.
Large brush/debris piles; brush must be less than 8 ft in length
Most appliances can be picked up; any appliance containing Freon must have documentation on the item from a certified service repairman that says the substance was removed
Do NOT place bulk waste under low utility lines, in the street or drainage ditches, at fire plugs, next to a utility pole or support cables, or in any area that would impede the vision of pedestrians or motorists
Vehicles parked on the street can block access to piles and prevent pickup. Be sure your pile is accessible.
