Initially, the idea for the project was to incorporate a blend of classical and modern architectural styles. This decision was mainly influenced by the desire to integrate the building with its surroundings, as the surrounding structures are all classical-style homes. Therefore, the project aims to harmonize seamlessly with the existing buildings in the area.

THE ARCADES
The inspiration for the arches featured on the ground-level facade of the building was drawn from the historic arcades found throughout the city center of Setif. As these arcades hold cultural significance, it was deemed essential to acknowledge them through the building's design.
The building's entryway is located precisely in the center, and it is visually highlighted using an outline of brick materials and a thin layer of reflective golden material. Additionally, the letter "R" is placed at the top and center of the arch, which is a typical feature of the arch known as the "keystone."
The arch design is featured once again on the ground-level facade, but this time as an opening that showcases the latest new books in the library's collection. However, the design is executed in a minimalistic fashion.

The arches are also made in the interior to hide the 4 appearing beams in the center of the area ,
The Cornice , as a classical element to separate two materials as well as two floors horizontally.
The building's entablature consists of a lower architrave and an upper frieze, embellished with the well-known "trident" design. The entablature is topped off with a final layer of an engaged cornice.
In keeping with classical architectural traditions, a prominent pediment is typically incorporated as the final element of the building's order. However, in my project, I have made the deliberate choice to conceal the pediment at the center of the building. This decision serves two purposes: first, it preserves the existing look and feel of the street, and second, it leverages the modern design of a glass pyramid to provide natural light throughout the entire building, similar to the iconic Louvre Pyramid.

The walls of the interior are decorated with bookshelf stickers, imparting a feeling of being completely immersed in books to those who visit.
The ceiling has been painted white to create the illusion of height.

The building has only two sides that receive natural light, which leaves the center of the building in darkness. To address this issue, a top glass pyramid is installed to transmit direct light from above and spread it across the central area of the building. This helps to brighten up the previously dark space.
