City Car Driving 2.2.7 Mods

I dont play a lot of AC to know, but got my hands on an oculus and nice steering wheel. I got vr driving working but now im looking into something thats free of a map that has like free roam driving in a city. Map doesnt need to be big. Bonus points if traffic could be added.

I have started developing "Lite" version of City Drive instead of fixing it. The lite version will be basically compatible to most of other mods except some camera mods by omitting some features and functions.

The Vice City Mod Manager (vcmm) is an application that can help you to install specially prepared mods into Vice City. Its basically a lot of extra work by the modder to make it easier for you to install.

Before you install any VCM vehicle mods you MUST install "DMagic1's wheel mod". Without this installed, your game will crash after you've installed the mod. When you download DM1's mod, you follow the above process, the same as you would to install a vehicle, except you dont choose a vehicle to replace.

To install a mod manually takes a bit more effort, and a few more things can go wrong. Most mods are available in this format. Please note it is NOT just a case of putting the DFF and TXD file into the Vice City folder, you need to put the files into a special archive.

If you click on the vehicle you replaced with the downloaded car (eg blistac) you will see the big coach. Thats the physical layout of the vehicle you're driving. You ideally want one that fits it better, so have a look at the others and choose one thats a similar size/shape. For example it may look a similar size to the Admiral, and the pony might be too big.

also when i download some car mods, they are already named as an existing car....so do i HAVE TO replace that same car, or can i rename the car mod i downloaded (the.dff and.txd) to another car i want to replace?

This model is ultra detailed and that's one of the reasons I've chosen it for my handling mods. Another reason is the fact that 2 weeks ago I decided to create handling mods for convertibles (since it's summer). I made a few so far and this will probably be the last convertible for now at least (unless a new crazy model pops out). Be careful, since the speedometer doesn't accurately show the real speed of the car. Besides that, the model is astounding in all regards. Enjoy.

P.S As I mentioned in step 3 of the installation, I replaced the car's original sound because it wasn't suited for driving in traffic (it was way too noisy). However, if you still want the original sound, skip step 3 (don't install the vehicles.meta file).

At time of rental pick-up, location rental qualification rules apply. The name on all rental credentials (license and credit or debit card) must match the name on the reservation. If the drivers license is not U.S.-issued, you must present your drivers license and either a passport or a Canadian enhanced license in the driver's name. At the time of rental, the renter or authorized driver may be subject to an electronic DMV check from the issuing state of the driver's license, or may be asked to sign a declaration attesting to specific criteria. Positive identification in addition to your driver's license may be required. Your total rental rate is calculated based on the information provided at time of reservation. Vehicles are rented on a daily (24-hour) basis. There is a 29-minute grace period for returns. After 30 minutes late, a 3/4-day late charge + $.01 + taxes apply. After 90 minutes late, full-day late charges + taxes apply. There is no grace period for rental fees, surcharges and optional equipment or protections charges, so full-day late charges will apply for these items. Extensions or late returns result in additional charges. Rather than requiring customers to be 25 to rent, Avis now rents to customers between the ages of 21-24 with a valid credit card and driver's license. At time of rental, we will automatically apply an additional underage surcharge for these drivers. Additionally, the following restrictions also will apply for renters between the ages of 21-24: Renters of luxury cars, mini-vans, 12-passenger vans, specialty cars, full-size SUVs and premium SUVs will not be permitted. The following are exempt from additional driver charges: renter's employer or regular fellow employee when on company business; renter's spouse or domestic partner; disabled renters who have completed the non-licensed renter form. In California, a child, sibling, or grandparent of the renter is also exempt from the additional driver charge.
