Citrus College Model United Nations was founded in 2019. Our team built a community of ambition, support, and collaboration to represent Latvia. We were unable to attend the NY Conference due to COVID-19, but our position paper still won an award.

Who we are
We are a social club at Citrus College. We comprise of a student body that seeks to understand the problems that govern our world. We meet twice a month to discuss global issues, international affairs, diplomacy, the United Nations, and more.

Last year, we had built a community that learned a lot about international affairs. We practiced the interpersonal communication and the writing necessary for diplomats. Our students gained political skills and understood the importance of international collaboration. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we did not attend the 2020 NY Conference. Yet, we still won an award, for "Outstanding Position Paper for Third General Assembly (Latvia)"! Our students transferred to well-known schools, some even majoring in law. Although we accredit their success to their own great efforts, MUN is still a splendid resume-builder.
