We are excited to announce the establishment of Cities Compassionate Care to strengthen our community by performing service drives, garnering meaningful employment opportunities for our clients, and expressing our right to speak through the mediums at our disposal. We aim to educate, mentor, and help local communities in the Omaha, NE area. We would love the opportunity for you to join our team and become dedicated to working for the greater good.
Our first program focuses on community outreach. We will organize drives, donations, and campaigns to support those in need. Interns will be essential in planning and executing these activities, helping us build a strong, supportive community network.
The second program is dedicated to education and mentorship. We aim to teach children about current political, economic, and social policies to educate them about our country's past and present. Interns will assist in developing accessible literature for elementary, middle, and high school students. Additionally, we plan to have them assist in implementing in-school recycling drives, teach budgeting skills, along with engaging with parents to establish bank accounts and life savings for our youth.
Our third program focuses on the creation of a freelance journalism media outlet that reports on local issues, including news, data, building permits, affordable housing, transit, and education. This project is long-term, with an outlet being a future and overarching goal of our organization. Interns will play a crucial role in this initiative, helping us to identify independent researchers, build compelling stories, and reach our target audience.
