To begin, you must first have a page to list your citations. At the end of an essay, create a "Works Cited" or "Bibliography" page, depending on your instructor's directions. Once that is complete, have your websites and other information ready to be cited.
For the purposes of this webquest, I am going to use the EasyBib.com website to assist in my citation. This is up to the decision of your instructor to use this website or a citation website like it. The following shows the EasyBib homepage.
Figure 3.1
To use EasyBib.com, simply go to the website and select the citation style you need. For my essay, I am going to use the MLA 7 style. If I had a website, I would simply copy and paste the website into the box and click "Cite it." However, I had earlier quoted a newspaper article about the Mothman possibly being a large bird. I noticed among the top items to cite, the option for a newspaper article is not shown. I will then select the "All 59 Options" button to reveal all possibilities. The following illustrates the selected button.

Once I've selected "Newspaper Article," I am directed to a page where I can put in the information needed for a citation. The first option on the page is to provide a weblink to the article, which would work if my website was not a .pdf file. For this I would have to type out the information by hand; otherwise, feel free to paste the website in and let EasyBib do the work for you.

When creating a citation, if there is no information for a section, skip it. I did not have page numbers for this article because I could not find it on the article itself, so I left it blank. Once the information is provided, click on the "Create Citation" button at the bottom of the screen.

The final screen displays the newspaper citation according to the MLA 7 style. All I have to do is click the "Copy & Paste" button and paste it to my works cited page in alphabetical order according to the author's last name. It's that simple.
