  • Course Objectives:

This course provides the undergraduate students of the Department of Electrical Engineering with the foundations for the study in Communications, Signal Processing, Control, Radar, etc. Through this course, students will learn

    1. the concepts of signals and systems,

    2. how to analyze linear time-invariant (LTI) systems by using time-domain (TD) and frequency-domain (FD) approaches,

    3. how to design LTI systems by using TD and FD approaches,

    4. how to convert a continuous-time (CT) signal to a discrete-time (DT) signal, and vice versa for the CT processing of DT signals.

  • Textbooks:

A. V. Oppenheim and A. S. Willsky, Signals and Systems, 2nd Edition. Prentice Hall, 1996.

  • References: These references are available at the POSTECH library.

H. Hsu, Schaum's Outline of Signals and Systems, McGraw-Hill, 1995. (This reference is available as an e-Book at the POSTECH library.)
