Hi students and families!

My name is Josie Moore and I am the Communities in Schools (CIS) Site Coordinator at Alexander Elementary. CIS is the largest provider of integrated student supports in the nation. Our program provides the needed supports to help your child stay in school and achieve in life.

Annually, across South Carolina, more than 18,000 students participate in CIS programming, at 34 schools, in 7 counties. We take great pride in supporting each student to provide access and opportunity to critical educational supports.

If your child is a part of CIS at Alexander, they will participate in various student supports. Services will include individual student supports, as well as group sessions that may include topics such as: social emotional learning, goal setting, dealing with peer-pressure, improving study habits, building self-confidence, communication skills and making healthy choices.
