This Privacy Policy explains how Cirque Calendar ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app. Cirque Calendar is a scheduling and team-communication app for circus performers and crew, used to manage shows, rehearsals, and related events.

We collect only the information needed to run the scheduling and team-chat features of the app:

We do not access your device's camera, precise location (GPS), contacts, or microphone. Any "location" shown in the app is text you or your team enter for an event's venue — not your device's location.
## 2. How We Use Information
- To operate core app features: your account, calendar, schedule, and team chat
- To let teammates see the name and email you provide, alongside events and messages you create
- To store files/photos you upload so they can be viewed within the app
- To maintain and secure the app, including diagnosing technical issues
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
## 3. How Information Is Stored and Shared
Account data, events, chat messages, and uploaded files are stored using our backend service provider, [Base44](https://base44.com), which hosts and processes this data on our behalf under its own security and data-processing terms.
Within a shared team/app instance, your name, email, calendar entries, and chat messages are visible to other members of that same team — this is how the scheduling and chat features work. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
## 4. Data Retention
We retain your account, schedule, and chat data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app's features. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact details below.
## 5. Your Choices and Rights
- You can review and update the event, schedule, and profile information you've entered within the app
- You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information
- You can request that your account be closed

## 6. Children's Privacy
Cirque Calendar is intended for use by performers, crew, and staff coordinating professional schedules, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
## 7. Security
We rely on our backend provider's security safeguards to protect your data, and access to team schedules and chat is limited to authenticated members of your app instance. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
