Zhiyuan Yang is currently pursuing his PhD degree in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Michigan Technological University. He worked as a student member in electronics laboratory and microcomputer relay protection laboratory at North China Electric Power University (NCEPU). His research interests include combinatorics, design theory, graph clustering, power system protection, associated risks related to cascading, cyber-based contingency analysis, and power system islanding detection.
