People with dyslexia, blindness, cerebral palsy, and other reading barriers can customize their experience to suit their learning style and find virtually any book they need for school, work, or the joy of reading." With volunteering for Bookshare, you can scan and proofread scanned books to continue to provide users with more resources and books to utilize! • “Color A Smile is a nonprofit organization that distributes cheerful drawings to Senior Citizens, Our Troops Overseas, and anyone in need of a smile.” https://colorasmile.org/ You can find the coloring pages and instructions for sending them on their website. For every coloring page that you complete, we will recognize .5 of a service hour!

• "Operation Gratitude" is a nonprofit organization that helps organize care packages to be sent to first responders, veterans, wounded service members, and new recruits. Their website is https://www.operationgratitude.com, and there are instructions on how to sign up. We will recognize half a service hour for every letter sent!

• "Be My Eyes" is a application available for both Apple and Android devices that connects blind or low vision people with sighted volunteers who help answer questions that the person has. Tasks often include confirming colors, reading expiration dates, and other simple tasks that we take for granted. We will offer hours based on the length of each call made. • Interested in helping to clean up the campus and community that we serve? We will offer the same amount of service hours equal to the number of hours spent collecting garbage around campus! For more information, reach out to one of the Executive Board Members.

• The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History is looking for volunteers to help identify features in plant cells to help with research on the effects of climate change on plant leaf design. • For Love Letters for Literacy, Volunteers create literacy kits for preschoolers in need. These handmade packets comprise 26 flashcards (A through Z), a short note from the volunteer, and a list of educational games to play at home.
