Cindy Williams Newsome is a history and inspirational writer. Author of the award-winning book, Hobbstown: The Forgotten Legacy of a Unique African American Community, and the popular inspirational novel, The Vain Girl. Chasing Baseball for Life and Other Adventures: Dedicated to Nearo Williams Jr. is a memoir begun by her late brother Nearo and completed by the author in his honor. Happily retired, her love of God is first, followed by family and friends. At her church, she serves as ministry leader of Pastoral Care and Children’s Church.
Using baseball metaphors to set goals, the sport is Bub’s trusted confidant as he faces obstacles and adversity during his journey of life.
