Il Cinema Ritrovato is an annual film festival that takes place in Bologna, Italy. It screens classics, retrospectives and showcases the latest films restored by the Cineteca di Bologna. Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour at UMD is organized jointly by the Italian Program and the Program in Cinema and Media Studies.
The fourth event of the series was held on March 6-10, 2024. In Fall 2022, we joined the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pier Paolo Pasolini. In Spring 2022, we hosted the first "Cinema Ritrovato on TOUR" at the Old Greenbelt Theatre, Greenbelt, MD. Visit the Archive page to know more about past editions.
