  • We have access to a plentiful supply of energy, but in light of global warming, we must find sustainable solutions for future energy demand. One promising avenue is the development of Nuclear Energy Systems, which can provide decentralized power supply, hydrogen production, nuclear-powered ships, and aviation.

  • To create a truly innovative Nuclear Energy System that can serve these varied purposes, we must prioritize flexibility in several key areas, including reactor output, mobility of reactor modules, nuclear fuel cycle, and operation and management.

  • Our lab is dedicated to pursuing two primary objectives: flexibility and safety of the Nuclear Energy Systems. By achieving these goals, we can create a nuclear energy system that not only meets our energy needs but does so in a safe and sustainable manner.

We are Optimizing the System Design to Maximize Flexibility

We are conducting Severe Accident Research to Enhance Safety
