With 3 models, you can choose between EF or MFT lenses, making Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera compatible with the largest range and most popular lenses in the world! The 6K models feature an EF lens mount so you can use lenses you already own from other cameras such as DSLR, URSA Mini Pro or even the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera! You can use commonly available photographic lenses that provide incredible creative choice and wonderful feature film quality lens effects. The active lens mount lets you adjust focus and iris from the buttons on the camera or the touch screen. Capturing still images is great for keeping track of continuity between shots or for sharing images to get approval from clients that are not on set.

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K uses removable LP-E6 type batteries while the 6K G2 and 6K Pro models use larger NP-F570 batteries. A locking DC power connector is used so you won't have to worry about losing power during a shoot. Plus the included AC plug pack can power the camera and charge the battery simultaneously. You also get a set of international socket adapters for worldwide use. Even the USB-C expansion port can trickle charge the battery, so you can use portable battery packs, mobile phone chargers or laptops. The Apple Cinema Display name was retired in July 2011 with the introduction of the Apple Thunderbolt Display. Cinema Display models were no longer offered on the Apple Store website as of August 2014.

On June 28, 2004, Apple introduced a redesigned line of Cinema Displays, along with a new 30-inch model that, like the 23-inch model, carried the "Cinema HD Display" name. The new models had an anodized aluminum enclosure that matched Apple's high-end lines of professional products. An alternative stand or a wall mount could be used with a VESA mount adapter kit that was sold separately. Though the display enclosures had not been redesigned for a long period of time, several "silent" improvements were made to the brightness levels and contrast ratios.[5]

Due to the high resolution (25601600), the 30-inch model requires a graphics card that supports dual-link DVI. When the monitor was released, no Macintosh models were sold with a dual-link DVI port. A Power Mac G5 with the new Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL graphics card was initially required to run the display at full resolution.[6]

All Power Mac G5, PowerBook G4, and Mac Pro mid 2006 to mid 2010 models are capable of supporting it without the use of any adapters. Discrete MacBook Pros are also capable of driving the 30-inch display, while all Macs released after October 2008 require an additional adapter. The 30-inch Cinema Display was introduced together with the GeForce 6800, which supports two DVI-DL ports. ATI's aftermarket AGP X800 Mac Edition also supports dual-link DVI, but has only one port. The Radeon 9600 Mac/PC was another aftermarket graphics card that supported dual-link DVI and was also compatible with older AGP-based Power Macs.

On October 14, 2008, the 20-inch Cinema Display and the 23-inch Cinema HD Display were discontinued and replaced with the 24-inch LED Cinema Display. Its chassis is made with aluminum and glass, reflecting the appearances of the current iMac, unibody MacBook Pro, and unibody MacBook designs. The display features a built-in iSight camera, microphone and dual speaker system. A MagSafe cable runs from the back of the display and provides 85W of charging for MacBooks. It is the first Cinema Display to use LED backlighting and Mini DisplayPort for video input; however, the LED backlighting is edge-lit as opposed to the fully back-lit CCFL of the previous models, resulting in a lower brightness cd/m2 output.

Photorealistic models are a lot of fun, but they can take literal days to mold, polish, and perfect. Sometimes, your project just doesn't require that level of detail. Even more, some project work better with simple, stylized figures. What if you could spend more time focusing on the animating rather than the creation of your 3D assets?

This is an exclusive look at one of the lessons learned in our Workshop "The Essential Ingredients to Creating Stylized 3D", featuring the enchanting animations of Jonathan Lindgren. While the Workshop focuses on putting your work in front of the right people to land big jobs, Jonathan has a few great tips for how simple 3D models can speak volumes for your projects, and we couldn't keep those kinds of secrets any longer. This is just a sneak peek at some of the amazing lessons Jonathan has in store, so grab order up some nigiri, garlic edamame, and about a metric ton of those chicken pot stickers. It's time to make some sushi.

Jonathan Lindgren (01:10): So I am this like small little trick that I, that I really enjoy using when I'm, when I'm modeling. Uh, so for example, for this cutting board is where I've used that. So as you can tell, this cutting board has a very like smooth, the coroner's smooth edge and everything, but it still has a very graphic shape, which is what I wanted. So I'm just going to go ahead and display our lines here so we can see our topology. And I'm going to go ahead and deactivate this subdivision surface. So this is how the actual extraordinary abs looks and, um, usually what's blinds. The default is the adaptive intermediate sampling, which just means that, I guess, I guess it just means that the cinema places out points along the spine where it's necessary. So for example, the rounded corners, but if you're doing this, you're not going to get like even topology around, around the edges and that kind of stuff, which is usually what you want when you want to smooth objects out in cinema.

Jonathan Lindgren (02:08): So if you just hit uniform, you can decide how many points a cinema will just distribute along display uniformly. So I've set this to 40 because then I get like a good rounding, uh, around a corner for this shopping board. And in the extruded nerves, the, the default setting here is usually the end gone, which means that it will not have any geometry on the flat surface of the extra nerves. And if I would go ahead and smooth this out, you would get this, which is a visual nightmare. Like you, you did not want this, uh, if you want a smooth surface. So if you, instead on this, go ahead and deactivate this again. If you go to regular grid, you can decide the size of the core. So you actually also have to hit quad dominance. So to make sure that you get, you're getting the quads and the triangles, and I've set this to, I think it was 1.3.
