a and ana are used for emphasis and commands. These are the only particles that could be used interchangeably and remain their meaning.

Examples:

Lan is used to make verbs imperfective or to gerund-ise nouns.

Examples:

Le is used to turn any word into a verb, or to ensure that a noun is interpreted as a verb.

Examples:

• le amo pi "to love"

• le al pi "to flow"

• le sincawan pi "to trade"

Men is used to pluralise nouns or to define severalness.

Examples:

• ly men pi "people"

• moe men pi "flowers"

• sincawan men pi "traders"
