Together, we walk in the Holy Light, offering support and counsel to those in need while upholding the values of unity, peace, and justice.

Through our unwavering commitment to the Holy Light, we aspire to build a future where every individual can live in alignment with divine purpose and contribute to the collective good, illuminated by the guiding radiance of the Holy Light. 

The Origins of This Church

The purpose of this page is to share the history and inspiration behind the formation of this Church.

Yes, it’s true—this Church was inspired by the in-game religious organization found in the MMORPG World of Warcraft. Many of our foundational ideas stem from its lore, and we want to be upfront about that from the start.

Let us also mention that this organization is in no way affiliated with World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment, Activision Blizzard, Microsoft Gaming, or Microsoft.

The vision for bringing this Church into reality came from our founder, Archbishop Stirling, a long-time World of Warcraft player. Over the years, he became deeply familiar with the game's lore and found himself drawn to the principles of the in-game Church. Surprisingly, many of these concepts aligned with beliefs he already held, even if he had previously expressed them using different terminology.

However, what truly solidified his path was a series of dreams and visions in which the Holy Light was revealed to him. These profound experiences led him to realize that the Holy Light was more than just a fictional concept—it was a real, guiding force that could offer wisdom, purpose, and spiritual fulfillment in the real world.

The idea of establishing a real-world faith based on these principles had been on his heart for years, but these revelations affirmed his calling. The philosophy of the Holy Light became the foundation upon which this Church could be built.

This is not without precedent—other fictional belief systems have inspired real-world spiritual communities, such as Jediism, The Path of the One, The Church of the Latter Day Dude, and the Church of All Worlds. Some have even embraced the faiths depicted in the television program Game of Thrones.
