This year's faculty development workshop / retreat was attended by 23 teachers: Carl Adams, Andy Barfield, Susan Binder, Clara Chare, Jean Pierre Chretien, Christine Horne, Yuriko Ikeda, Yuki Imoto, Yuri Komuro, Greg Lamb, Nancy Lee, Andy Martin, Patrick McCoy, Milt Miltiadous, Yuji Miyamaru, Jamelea Nader, Mike Nix, Robert Russell, Ellen Scattergood, name removed at the request of the teacher, Akiko Shimada, Zorana Vasiljevic. Mary Jo Pichette also joined us (though she's not currently teaching with us) from Ferris University, and we were all delighted to see Mary Jo again.
Many thanks to everyone who participated in the day's workshops, gave short small-group presentations, and contributed to a very interactive and energising day of small-group discussions on course and cross-curriculum issues, reflective pair discussions, the plenary, and the training presentations. Thanks also to everyone who took notes and contributed written reflections, and for sharing further ideas through the 2009 academic year for the 2010 faculty development workshop / retreat.
