Here is how Chu got to where she is today. A proud UMASS Boston graduate with a double major in Sociology and Asian American Studies who grounded her in community building and in finding the power of her own voice as a woman of color and first generation college graduate. She understands the inequities that are created from systemic inequities especially having faced it from lived experiences. Raised by a single parent with the influences of an immigrant household, she learned firsthand to find resources on her own. With a grateful heart, she is able to thrive because of her mentors, colleagues, friends and network of the community.Â
Chu has the local perspective of inequities in Boston and continues to expand her reach to different sectors who are looking for a consultant to help with providing transformative trainings that can help the organization further its impact with reflecting its practices or offering advising as a thought partner and more.
