Chih-Che grew up at Taipei, and was first educated at Tainan where Chih-Che received his Bachelor degree at National Cheng Kung University in 2002, subsequently continuing to further study at Taipei where Chih-Che received his Master degree at National Taiwan University in 2004. Afterwards, flying to Canada, Chih-Che obtained his PhD degree at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, in 2011. All these degrees are related to Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, and Computational Science/Engineering. Soon after his PhD graduation, Chih-Che took the position of Post-doctoral fellow at Queen's University in Canada, where Chih-Che was working on Fuel Cell simulations. Then Chih-Che took his second postdoc position at Research Center for Environmental Changes in Academia Sinica, where Chih-Che was working on simulating freely falling hydrometeors and the flow over a range of realistic terrains with aerosol particles in Taiwan. Such experiences allow Chih-Che to create a special combination of potentially wide-ranging research topics, revolving around the works on Computational Fluid Dynamics, Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamic Phase Transition, Numerical Heat/Mass Transfer, Applied Flight Mechanics as well as Porous Media Characterization/Design. Chih-Che is now an Associate Professor at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics in National Cheng Kung University, working alone or collaborating with great scientists/researchers from both within and outside Taiwan.

While keeping taps on time spent on doing his core research, teaching courses, and watching what his students are doing, Chih-Che regularly spends his free time enjoying jogging and reading TIME magazines as well as lovely time with his family, particularly with his two little daughters.
