1. In 2016, my teammate and I applied to the Nation-level Student's Platform for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program supervised by Prof. Jiaoyun Yang, which is a college student innovation encouragement program, titled is Cognitive health assessment using perception technology. We cooperated with masters in the lab and succeeded in developing a system collecting and processing data collected from sensors deployed in the elderly's homes. (2016-now)
2. In 2017, I took part in the iGEM 2017 (International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition 2017) team competing in software track. I am the leader of the algorithm group. We spent the whole summer vacation in school preparing for the competition in November. Our project aims at helping the iGEMers. To be specific, our system provides a search engine for the competitors to search for information about past teams and can develop their own bioblocks (some kind of DNA) easily. It can be regarded as a software toolkit with fancy front-end and reliable servers. We left for the competition in Boston in November flying over 14 hours. We also saw the aurora on the way.
