Healy Palooza, Colgan’s yearly show involves every CFPA discipline working together to create a massive show to send off students. This year was no different as students piled in the auditorium to enjoy the show once again.
On December 20, Healy Palooza began it’s two shows, but students were hard at work, preparing and rehearsing to perfect their disciplines respective show. CFPA dance rehearsals were a day before Healy Palooza.
The CFPA dance team rehearsed their Healy Palooza routine the day before the final show, they set the stage exactly like shown at the event and perfected their routines, this is a quick turnaround because of CFPA dance concert preformed earlier in December according to Junior Sydney Dondlinger.
Visual arts and creative writing had differing festive art works and poems displayed when entering the auditorium, these students stayed and watched the show twice to showcase their discipline to the students.
“I am enjoying the show the singing is [beautiful] and I’m going to miss Healy Palooza since I’m graduating,” said Senior creative writer Zhane Blair
The audiences had a particular fondness for a specific part of the show which featured the performance of CFPA choir singing I’m just ken.
“I really thought I’m just Ken was an amazing show on top of hilarious,” said Junior Alex Grocholski.
Another eye-catching part of the show was when a student dressed as Santa clause and sung on stage. Junior Noami Rae, a part of the 1623 house band, shocked audiences when she ran down the aisle in her outfit.
“I was nervous but also confident since I had prepared for this moment,” said Rae, “this was the largest group of people I’ve preformed in front of,” continued Rae.
The 2024-2025 Healy Palooza was a fun and memorable experience for all students involved and watching the show.
“It was an amazing show and experience, we as a school put this all together,” said Dr Parrish.
