NOTE: CHSSA School Fee is $150. Schools that competed at the CHSSA State Tournament 2025 may rollover their judge bond to cover their annual school fee for 25-26 if the school's head coach designated the fee to be used that way at the time of registration for the State Tournament. CHSSA Fee Waiver Application: (deadline to apply is October 15)

The California High School Speech Association is committed to making speech and debate accessible to all students. Limited fee waivers are available for qualified schools that cannot cover the $150 participation fees. Coaches can apply here: Waiver Application Form

• Applications must be submitted by the coach of record.

• Registration must be fully submitted before a waiver request is considered (so, that means the signed registration form needs to be submitted to our Google Form).

• Priority goes to schools who have not recently received a waiver and who show the greatest need.
