All About PAWSTV

The PAWSTV Studio at Collingswood High School first went on the air in 2008 with a group of ambitious but anxious students eager to showcase their talents and the newly established TV program to their school and the Collingswood community. PAWSTV’s signature show “Good Morning Collingswood” is provides informational announcements about school events, local and national news, highlights of Varsity and National sports and topics of interest to the CHS student body like entertainment news and viral videos. The following year, the program launched Panther Productions, a student run field production group which demonstrates professionalism  in writing, directing and editing live and packaged programs of varsity football, basketball and wrestling events, Reindeer Games, graduations, Collingswood Borough’s BookFest and May Fair and location shoots featuring local venues like The Pop Shop, Kitchen Consigliere, DiBartolo’s Bakery, The FunPlex, The Discovery Museum, the Cape May Zoo, Historic Philadelphia, behind the scenes at Citizens Bank Park and Historic Smithville. In 2012, Panther Films was also established as the program added film studies and entered it’s first national film competition placing in the top five best films and winning for best score. Recently in 2019, PAWSTV, Panther Productions and Panther Films upgraded to high-definition and added live streaming capabilities. Throughout the past thirteen years, the PawsTv TV/Film students have received over thirty nominations in various television and film competitions including winning three Camden County Teen Arts Awards for music videos, four Regional Student EMMY Awards, an NJ Five Day Film Challenge and two top ten honors in the NJ Ten Day Film Challenge.
