HAPPY READING! The Clarkstown North English Department is happy to support all of our students in their independent reading over the summer holidays.
Here is the letter that English teachers distributed to students. Here is the google form we asked all students to fill out.
If you are an incoming Freshman or Sophomore, you do NOT have required summer reading, but we highly suggest you read over the summer using our reading lists below. If you are an incoming junior or senior and you are planning to go into AP Lit, AP Lang or IB Y1 or IB Y2, you have REQUIRED Summer Reading. NOTE: SCHEDULES MAY CHANGE!
Please see the links below for the requirements and contact Ms. Czajkowski (kczajkowski@ccsd.edu) with any questions.
If you are not planning to go into the four classes listed below, you DO NOT have a required summer reading; however, we do suggest that you read over the summer, and have provided a list of books by grades for your reading pleasure. If your schedule changes and you end up coming in to one of these courses, you will need to complete the summer reading.
All books for IB and AP can be picked up starting June 9 in the Mansion English office.
