Band Director
Zamboni Brown is a graduate of East High School. Mr. Brown has been the band director at Central High School since 2023. Prior to being at CHS, he taught as the band and choir director at Burns Middle/High School in Burns, WY and student taught in Gillette, WY. Mr. Brown earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Wyoming in the Spring of 2022. Mr. Brown is the king of CHS swag and will always remind you to either WAFFLEO or TCOB!
Assistant Band Director
Brendan Inkster is a graduate of Ithaca High School in Ithaca, New York.
Mr. Inkster earned his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Wyoming in the Fall of 2020. Mr. Inkster has been the band director at McCormick Junior High School since 2021 and has been the Assistant Band Director at Central High School since 2022. Prior to teaching in Cheyenne, he taught elementary band and orchestra in Gillette, WY at Pronghorn Elementary, Prairie Wind Elementary, Stocktrail Elementary School, Rawhide Elementary School, Hillcrest Elementary School and Sunflower Elementary School. Mr. Inkster did his student teaching at East High School in the fall of 2020.
Mr. Inkster is planning on starting his Master's Degree in Music Education this summer at the University of Wyoming.
Color Guard Instructor
Morgan is the CHS Colorguard instructor. She has been in this position since 2023. Morgan is graduate from East High School and was a color guard section leader back when she was in high school. Miss Morgan has done amazing work and is building up our color guard every day!
Percussion Instructor
Shyanne is the CHS Percussion Instructor. She has been in this position since 2024. Shyanne is a graduate of Burns High School and is currently in school to become a music teacher. She is very excited to expand on her role with the CHS band!
CHS Band #1 Fan
Mr. Mercer may be an English teacher, but NOBODY is a bigger fan of the CHS Band that Mr. Johnny Mercer. Mr. Mercer is at every event and every trip. He is the greatest to have around and we don't know what we'd do without him! Not to mention he is also the "Voice of the Indians."
