Clayton High School Varsity Dance Team auditions are an exciting opportunity for dedicated, passionate dancers to showcase their skills and become part of a team that proudly represents Clayton High School. As members of the Varsity Dance Team, dancers perform at football and basketball games, participate in school and community events, and represent Comet Pride both on and off campus. Beginning this season, the team will also compete at the NCDTA Championship, marking an exciting new chapter in our program's history.
Auditions are designed to identify dancers who demonstrate strong technique, performance quality, work ethic, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a positive, team-oriented environment. We are looking for student-athletes who are committed to excellence, school spirit, and supporting one another while serving as ambassadors for Clayton High School.
During auditions, dancers will be evaluated in the following technical areas:
