To provide an opportunity for youth to have a safe and positive experience playing basketball. This league is operated through Central LA Biddy Basketball with games and practices hosted at Central High School (not Central Private). Central LA Biddy basketball is independent from Central Community Schools and the City of Central. We are not a publicly funded league.

Spectators are expected to watch the games in the gyms. The student union should be used for the bathrooms and the concession stand, as well as entering or exiting. Children should not be left unsupervised or allowed to "play" in the student union.
Playing Dates: Each team will have at least one game scheduled on each playing date.

The age of your child on 9/1/25 will determine what age group they will play in.
7-8 year olds (8U) or under by 9/1/25 (27.5" size ball for league) Goal height - 8 1/2 ft
9-10 year olds (10U) under by 9/1/25 (28.5" size ball for league) Goal height - 9 ft
11-12 year olds (12U) or under by 9/1/25 (28.5" size ball for league) Goal height - 10 ft
V. Team Registration/Formation - NEW IN 2026-27!!!
Teams will be made up of 7-12 children. Each team must have a minimum of 7 and no more than 12.
Coaches will form and register their teams. Teams are responsible for their own jerseys. The jerseys must have numbers on the front and back, and the jersey must be reversible with one side being white (or have 2 jerseys at each game with one being white).

Two 1-hour practice slots each week for half the gym (full court sideways) from November 16 - February 5. NOTE: CCSS events take precedence over Biddy Practices.

VIII. Coaching a Team - NEW IN 2026-27!!
This league relies on volunteer coaches. There will be a virtual coaches meeting posted for all coaches to review league and game information.
The coaches form and register the teams. Coaches will submit one registration with all the players on the team, their information, and one payment. Teams will not be put on the practice and/or game schedule until registration is complete and payment is received. The deadline for registration and payment will be Nov. 20, 2026. The schedule will be released No. 30, 2026.
If a team is short players or a family is looking for a coach, league administrators will share approved contact information. THE LEAGUE IS NOT IN DIRECTING THE ORGANIZATION TEAMS, FINDING COACHES FOR PLAYERS, OR FINDING PLAYERS FOR COACHES.
IX. Practice Schedule:
All Practices are at CHS. Use the South Lot to park and enter the new extended commons glass doors. Use the extended commons area bathrooms and water fountains. Please be considerate of the facility and taking care of these spaces.
Teams will have the opportunity to practice a minimum of twice per week at CHS subject to events held by CCSS schools. When both gyms are available you teams have at least half of a court, plus side goals (meaning teams can practice full court sideways. On nights that only the practice gym is available you may be limited to one side goal. Teams are encouraged to work together and practice with and against each other as appropriate.
